Monitored Case:
Patricia

Patricia is the former foster daughter of the webmaster, who raised her from birth to the age of 5-1/2. She was taken away by the state during the course of his divorce in January 2004, and the webmaster has never been allowed to see the child since. The child has since been adopted by a new family.

This case prompted the webmaster to become a child welfare activist.

“I was the very involved father to this child for 5-1/2 years, but because I contributed none of her genetic material, I had no rights under the law, and the state chose not to communicate with me in any form. Based only on the incoherent claims of my ex-wife, they treated me as a criminal without ever talking to me, and in doing so, they committed a great atrocity against my daughter, myself and my family.”
