We have had only one direct interaction with Buckley. On 1/25/06, she had come to Family Court to fill in for a CAP attorney who was on maternity leave. We saw her in the hallway waiting for her case to be called, so we stepped up and introduced ourselves: "Barbara Buckley? Hi, I'm Glenn Campbell. I call you evil on my website." She was courteous, but evidently not as amused by the situation as we were. We told her that she shouldn't take "evil" personally. We just had some concerns about the CAP program and her legislation. We asked her if she had seen our website, and she said that she had looked at it once, but was very busy working two jobs and hadn't seen it recently. We want to emphasize that just because we think someone is "pure evil" doesn't mean we don't love them. We love everybody. The word "evil" may have bad connotations to some, and we wanted Buckley to know that she could still talk to us if she wanted. |
