Comments

When children are taken from their parents due to allegations of abuse or neglect, they are usually taken first to Child Haven, the county-run emergency shelter. Child Haven is located on the Family Court campus and consists of a half-dozen cottages housing children of various age groups. Stays are supposed to be short, with children either returned to family members or transferred to foster homes.
