NOTE: This work has been ABANDONED as too long-winded and repetitive, but you are welcome to get whatever you can from it. The essential ideas are best summarized in a single page. Most of my new philosophical musings on relationships, etc. are now found in Kilroy Cafe. —GC, 5/09

The Case Against Marriage - 10/16/07

12/23/08: This project is on indefinite hiatus for now. The main problem is that I am having too much fun on short-term projects and have little patience for long-term ones (unless there is interest from a publisher). See my home page for my currently active projects.

11/19/08: Today, I gave an interactive lecture on marriage at Daytona State College in Florida. See my blog entry, including an audio file.

10/16/07: This project is currently on haitus. I have completed a rough draft, but it still needs a lot of work, especially in how the chapters fit together. My currently active project is The Superhero Handbook. I probably won't come back to the marriage book until that one is done. (Probably not until 2008.)

8/7/07: I envision this book as a collection of 30-40 loosely connected chapters on the subject of matrimony.

The first draft is being written between July 19 and August 12. I am writing full time and usually produce two chapters a day. They seem to be flowing out of me quite effortlessly.

In the initial draft, I am making no attempt to connect the chapters together. Later I will go through the chapters again, possibly rearranging them and smoothing out the transitions between them.

Everything in this book is subject to change, and I encourage your email feedback of any kind. (Right now, only a handful of people are looking at this section on a regular basis, and their feedback is rare.) Wherever I have gone off the deep end, by all mean let me know. Your responses will be kept confidential (unless you post them to the page).

I would like to see this published someday as a real printed book (a quaint concept, I know). If you have any leads in this regard, let me know. In the meantime, I will be cranking out new books. (I have two books in my head to follow this one.)

—Glenn
